Use Cartly+ on your phone or in your browser. Sign in to the same account and check the selected household before adding, sharing or checking off items.

Shared shopping and household chat

Add items with quantities, units, categories, notes and a shopping date. Household members share the list and can see updates while connected. Use the chat button to coordinate; chat includes author names and read receipts. Desktop Discover and chat views use a compact, centered layout. Notifications depend on your permissions and device settings.

Recipes and meal planning

Open Recipes to save a recipe or plan meals for the week. Free accounts have five recipe slots per household and can use meal planning. Premium adds more recipe slots, public website import and translation. Import and translation share a daily allowance of ten uncached attempts per household, resetting at midnight UTC; other service limits may also apply.

When adding a recipe to your shopping list, choose servings, untick ingredients you already have and select the shopping date. A later “Add again” combines matching quantities. Review imported and translated ingredients and instructions before saving or cooking. AI can make mistakes. See how recipe data is processed.

Apple Watch and Wear OS

Install the matching Cartly+ companion when available. Open Cartly+ on the paired phone, sign in and select a household. On the watch you can browse pending items by category, add an item with the system keyboard or dictation, and tap an item to mark it bought.

Keep the paired phone reachable and online. The watch is a phone companion, not a standalone offline app. Apple Watch requires watchOS 10 or later; Wear OS requires a compatible watch and matching Android phone app. The watch displays up to 50 pending items at a time; more can appear as items are checked off. Home-screen widgets

Android: hold an empty area of the home screen, open Widgets and choose Cartly+ shopping list. Resize the widget or scroll its items.

iPhone: hold the home screen, choose Edit → Add Widget and select Cartly+. On iOS 17 or later, use the arrows to browse pages and tap an item to mark it bought. Older versions open the app. iPhone widgets do not support swipe scrolling.

Widgets show today’s pending items, grouped by category, with a display limit of 100. Open Cartly+ after switching households or if a widget asks to refresh. Checking off needs internet. A widget snapshot may lag behind the app.

Siri, Shortcuts and Google voice actions

On iPhone with iOS 16 or later, open Shortcuts → App Shortcuts → Cartly+. Run Add shopping item once. Then try “Siri, add an item to Cartly Plus”, followed by the item name. Siri opens Cartly+ to save it. You can also try “Siri, mark an item as bought in Cartly Plus”.

On Android, try “Hey Google, add milk to Cartly+” with Google Assistant in English (United States). Availability depends on Google enabling the app action for your installation. Gemini and Google Home are not verified replacements for these phone actions. If a voice command starts a search, use the app or widget. These phone shortcuts do not require an AI assistant connection; normal plan limits still apply.

Connect an AI assistant

Premium accounts can connect supported external assistants to read and update their shopping lists. This is separate from recipe import, Siri and phone shortcuts. Follow the AI setup guide, review the access request and use the same Cartly account as your subscription. Disconnect at Manage connections.

Plans, privacy and support

The standard free plan includes one household and 30 shopping items per date. Premium removes in-app ads and enables additional households/items and Premium recipe/assistant features. AI usage remains limited. The app’s purchase screen shows current prices and billing terms.
